Sorry it’s just business!

“The best way to predict the future is to create it”
                             -Divine Bradley

I wonder what the complexion of the global scene would be if, in mass, those of Afrikan origin would start to have conversations and strategy sessions about the state of our economic reality.  How quickly would the condition of our collective existence change if we looked at how and why we conduct the business of life the way we do? Personally I know not how fast we could turn our situation around, but I do know a conversation that would help immensely.
The fact is we are at a major disadvantage when it comes to our material well being.  Reason being, collectively we control nothing.  Worse than that, many who are in a position of wealth and resource control think like our oppressors! That is to say by their actions it is safe to conclude they are in alignment with the capitalist demons who designed this system.  The weird part is we suffer not for lack of money.  By 2015 it is estimated by Nielsen that our buying power will be 1.1 trillion dollars.  So money by and large is not the problem.  HOW and WHERE we use it is however.
Education, food, shelter, clothing, communication and transportation are the sciences we should be investing in.  For example let’s take a look at the so called Jews.  “in the age of the great industrial expansion their role was outstanding in three particular economic areas: in the textile and clothing field, in banking and finance and in the development of a new kind of merchandising such as the department store and mail order business”-Eric Hirshler writing on German Jews.  But how did they achieve this?  It’s quite simply actually- CULTURE!
By making ownership a part of their very fabric of life they have secured a lasting legacy for future generations. If we were to combine that mindset with a template of passage into adulthood we would actually make some headway.  Consider this: “The Afrikan rites we develop for our sons must instill/teach:
Respect of the Creator, nature and the Afrikan nation
          Respect for our elders
          Respect for our women
Respect for male/female relationships
Self –Discipline (resilience and determination)
Self –Defense and defense of family
Fiscal responsibility
Sexual Morality
The role and responsibility of Fatherhood
The role and responsibility of Brotherhood
Our story
Critical thinking skills
Remember that these requirements are designed for initiates in middle to high school (13-18).  They should be modified for males in younger and older age grade cohorts” –Asafo (Mwalim K Bomani pg. 128).
Now that sounds like a plan!  By accepting the simple truth that we are in a war for our very survival we can begin to set goals far beyond the notion of “equality” It is clear from study and experience that economic science must be incorporated in our struggle to a greater effect.  Whether it is simply starting a family business or the total revamping of our behavior towards white supremacy, our economic skill level will determine our fate.
Waking up is hard to do.  Waking up to the fact that to many you are not even a human being; you are just data on a spreadsheet is rough stuff.  Our cooperation in their design will determine the size of the bonus these people receive. It is a very simple equation.  But must our survival be so cold?  Is it all about how much capital we have?  I say no!
Eco alludes to environment. Capital in our situation represents our ability to purchase the items (raw materials, licenses, etc.) needed to build and maintain our life as we wish.  This is the ends justifying scenario.  Regulation of the events in a given environment occurs naturally. So it is a given that we too need regulation in our environment, cultural checks and balances if you will.  In the end we must have a stalwart economic army against incursion by white supremacy.
The nature of these beings will not allow for true diplomatic relations in regards to sharing resources.  “Knowing that under every condition and every circumstance that the European is visualize and pursue an absolute supremacy over all others renders making peace in order to change the oppressor wishful thinking” (Asafo).  Look deeply at world history, not just at our story.  European history is fraught with war, fratricide and genocide.
This is not to say the Afrikan has not had his fair share of internal conflict. But by and large we are a much more historically peaceful people.  Tolerance and unity is our trademark; savagery and division is theirs.  So doesn’t it make sense to protect ourselves on the economic front as well?  We should be buying and selling to other Afrikans at a much higher rate.  We should be importing and exporting Afrikan products to each other.  We should be teaching each other to invest in mutual funds, stocks and bonds with the express intent to amass wealth to take care of OUR infrastructure. Our companies should stay in our hands and cater to our culture period.  In closing we will do well to remember the words of the great John Henry Clarke:
“Everything that touches your life must be an instrument of your liberation or it must be discarded.” Ashe.

Natural Law- Energy and Liberation

“The discourse of community is concerned with the integrity of social groups and the general rights—socio-economic as well as political—of the individuals who make up the group.” –Wilson Davis

What caused the struggle for Black Liberation to be waged?  Why did so many feel the need to wage armed (guns and education) struggle against the United States and her allies?
These two questions should be on the forefront of every naysayers and puppet of this regime.  Furthermore ALL who have been affected by imperialism and oppression should analyze this period of world history.  Reason being it forces people to properly study and breakdown the humans behind struggle and humans behind oppression.  If after a proper analysis a person can still honestly find reason for continued oppression, then there is nothing more to discuss.
We as humans must understand the world is being coordinated; coordinated by forces, men and women of both small and large minds.  This contradictory truth breeds opposition.  So long as the dominant system or culture is division, hoarding, corruption, oppression and rebellion will be the result.  Case in point: the Assata Shakur -Guillermo Morales center located at City College has been illegally raided and taken over recently by the governing body of the institution.
Now regardless of any discomfort at the names adorning the center, the work being done should have labeled that room untouchable.  From food share programs, medical classes, survival training, and political prisoner workshops the center stands for a lifestyle counter to the current imperialistic regime. In the end this is an act of warfare.  War is not simply limited to guns and bombs. War includes communication, information, education, and business.
For example by seizing merchandise located within the center, the fascist, totalitarian like regime of the college sought to destroy the economic pipeline from the students and the community.  It is well known theft is a tactic of war and this seizure is no different.  One has to ask why the secrecy?  Why did they strike during the weekend? Why weren’t the students notified? Remember deception and secrecy is a tactic of war.  This must be properly understood.
The goal is to create a situation in which the masses of the people are not aware of the true goals of the 1%. By disguising a takeover with innocuous language like” A room in the North Academic center(NAC) has been relocated for the expansion…” and “the move took place during the weekend so that it would be less disruptive to the collage” are prime examples of this.  Be not fooled by the slippery lounges of serpents.

“Every economic decision and institutions must be judged in whether it protects or undermines the dignity of the human person.”  -American Bishop Pastoral

The Right To Know

“This is a right to know issue. This is very simple—we all have a right to know what is in our food.” David Byrnes, founder of Good Boy Organics

Welcome to the future.  Very recently the first test tube hamburger was produced and eaten. Of course the meat was a genetically modified organism. Hey I’m all for the triumph of science over the limitations we once had, just let me know what I’m getting into. With all the NSA spying on the average citizens in addition to legitimate terrorists we have the potentially lethal situation of GMO (genetically modified organisms) on our shelf unlabeled.  And guess what? They have been for years!  Worst of all companies like Monsanto are putting the squeeze on farmers all over.
Recent legal cases have highlighted a very slick way of crushing the completion (mind you these are simple farmers trying to make a decent living). By trade marking the resultant seed produced, a corporation like Monsanto can lay claim to another’s land if a seed happenss to land and take root. The logic is that the seed is intellectual property and therefore subject to ownership laws.  So, what is to stop them from delving in tactics like deliberately planting seeds on a farmers land and then claiming the crop as their own? HMMMMM…
According to the Epoch times, the FDA has never conducted tests on GMO products, which is a bit strange since they ARE the FOOD AND DRUG administration. Logically it would seem that conducting tests on food comes in the job description.  It is a well know fact that food is fuel for the body.  In this country and many others there are actual laws on the books about what type of fuel is acceptable for use in automobiles, yet stringent testing on a product that greatly impact the most important machine on  the planet—the human body---is no where to be found. At the core of this is a seemingly insidious plot of secrecy surrounding something that is vital to all.

Shouldn't we the people have a right to know what is going into our bodies?  Why a 46$ million campaign against proposition 37 in California?
Science is one of the foundations of a successful society. And so is honesty.  Hopefully the two can co-exist in the age of modification.

Peace.

Sex, Politics and warfare

         “No action is unmotivated”
             -Political communication (Dan F. Hahn)

Sex, sexuality, civilization and conflict have walked hand in hand since man became the rational animals we are today. Described as a mystic union by some, a sacred act by others and something unclean by many, sex has always been a driving force of humanity.  Before artificial methods and adoption became chic, we got down and produced children the old fashioned way. In fact entire cults (really spiritual ways of life) are dedicated to the cultivation of this natural force.  As celebrated as sex is, it is also a source of great confusion and pain. But why?
Power, specifically political power, is a goal of various groups of people or governments.  Power is not gender specific.  Systems designed and acted out by man consolidate power. Patriarchy, matriarchy, Shaira law, etc are simply systems of political expression or repression depending on who is on top.  In the end politics is a human thing. As such, sexuality is a means of political expression, and on a more personal scale cultural transmission.

In truth you can learn so much by observing how people of a specific culture view sexuality. For instance sexuality in a predominantly Christian country is strikingly different than in an Islamic country.  Indeed as a culture transforms, sexuality is often a catalyst or a by product of that generations’ differing view and movement.  So much of our views on sex and war come from our culture. To each man or woman there is a personal outlook on war and sex. However, when examined deeply enough components of each persons view are found to be shared throughout the culture he or she belongs to.  This is expressed in a variety of ways.  For example many Muslim women wear the hijab to conform to Islamic law as decreed in the Quran. In addition to following their law, the hijab adds a sense of modesty and empowerment to female Muslims.
By deciding to wear or not wear the hijab, a woman effectively takes control of her sexuality at the individual level, while at the same time maintaining her position in the overall culture of Islam. Of course this is only half the story, well in all actuality 33%.  The other 66% is the male view of women in Islam and the rest of the world’s view of the interaction of both man and woman.
In regards to power, religion historically has used morality to control the minds of the people thereby coalescing political power in their hands. Often sex and sexuality come under attack as religious leaders seek power.  Case in point: “As a result of original sin, human nature is weakened in its powers; subject to ignorance, suffering, and the domination of death; and inclined to sin. We therefore hold, with the Council of Trent, that original sin is transmitted with human nature ‘by propagation’.” That is taken verbatim form the Catechism of the Catholic Church, arguably the biggest religion in the world.  “To propagate means for a man and woman to engage in coitus, which then results in the woman becoming pregnant” (Clayton Sullivan). Shape peoples morals and it becomes easy to shape them to your will.

Taking from Nietzsche: “In contrast to laisser-aller, every system of moral is sorts of tyranny against “nature” and also against “reason”, that is, however, no objection, unless one should again decree by some system of morals, that all tyranny and unreasonableness are unlawful. What is essential and invaluable in every system of morals, is that it is a long constraint.” This to me, speaks to a systematized restraint against the lower nature/behavior, resulting culture and tradition; social law so to speak.  Eventually as form families and families form tribes, leading up to forming a nation the morals become codified or the literal law of the land.  However the emotion of morality is the question.  In terms of politics and sexuality what are the emotions stirred up that leads to the repression or on the opposite spectrum liberation of the people?
One can argue that in order to plan the oppression of people using sexuality as a means to power certain callousness must be inherent within the character of that person or persons implementing the scheme.  With callousness a sense of entitlement follows.  After all if “we” don’t rule, chaos is sure to follow, right? Indeed we can see evidence of this when we look at Christianities’ view on sex and sexuality throughout the ages.
“What does such assertion indicate about him who makes it?” (Nietzsche) More to the point what does the process used reach these conclusions say about the character of him who says it? For example the feminist movement started in the 19th century was to some extent deeply polarizing in American mainstream culture. Societal constraints placed on white women by the white male patriarchal social conduct was challenged by there opposite-white women. The consolidation of power in the hands of white men harkens back to and possibly beyond the puritanical age.  So to speak on character, let us look at a reasoning process.
Taking from Chinese Taoist masters the 8 point system known as Pa-kua can shed some light.

Chou, suan, ce, qi zhing, jie, ganchi, sheng, bai
In order:
1)      To measure
  -form and energy
2) To calculate
  -Advantage
 -Disadvantage
3) To plan
4) To scheme
5) Direct and indirect
6) Timing and Space
7) To penetrate
8) Victory and Defeat

Understand that in order to effectively put into place policies that effect people’s lives, those in a position to make those decisions must undergo a reasoning process. There are many to go about it but the result is the same: factors are considered and a decision is reached to enact policy that serves someone’s best interest, often at the cost of another.

So let’s look at what some have dubbed the war on woman in hip hop. First we have record executives in charge of finding talent.  They measure the energy of the times.  Where are the current trends heading? Who is the audience who will buy so we can become rich?  Now keeping in mind that these same record executives are in the same circles as the media moguls, (i.e. the ones who own the television and radio stations) as well as governmental figures, a certain type of image is required to sell, so they manufacture it.  Now in order to be sure that a steady supply of talent is available, a certain environment is needed.  This is where cold calculation comes into play.
For instance in order to perpetuate a culture of misogamy and sexism that translates into dollars a few things is needed. Please note there are always exceptions and differing circumstances to be considered. But generally speaking there are a few constants.

One: an environment devoid of a positive, structured home front.  The man must either absent or unable to provide a safe, successful home.
Two: The mother must be the end all be all, while at the same time be an enabler of ignorant behavior.  Often her own psyche is damaged by the images and actions of her community resulting in a certain culture.  Usually alcoholism, drugs, rape and violence in general are some side effects.
Now, as music stems from life, if the daily activities and the ideal life involves sexual promiscuity, drug abuse, self hate (gun culture), then it follows that the music will address those things.  Indeed depending on the momentum of the people the music will either fight against these behaviors or embrace them.  Seeing this and having a vested interest in keeping the talent subservient to executives and the public unthinking record companies push this by rewarding rappers liquor deals and marketing a certain vision/image in the videos made.  As children grow up listening and viewing this type culture the behavior that is manufactured will seek to act out the images portrayed in the sonic and concrete environments they grow in.
Of course in terms of sexuality, politics and warfare in hip hop the prime target is the minds of black youth. For it is the mind that spurs the hand to spend dollars in pursuit of a lifestyle portrayed in slickly contrived ways to our children.  Over sexualization of women, hyper and the feminization of the males are simply direct and indirect forces used for the goal of draining our dollars.

So what is the future regarding sexuality and politics?  As long as the character of the people “in charge” and everyday people remain the same, domination and warfare will continue to occur.  Morality is the weapon of tyrants indeed! For as long as the impulse to conquer each other exists there will someone or some people that will use morals as an excuse to war; instead of an opportunity to build bridges.

    Peace.

Treat her like a dish....Eat well

   Are you ready??

If your a man like me, chances are you probably love women. I mean absolutely adore and revere them. Its , well, a law of Nature. So yes, rejoice in the fact that there is literally a bevy of intelligent, driven and willing ladies out in this crazy world to build with.  Its good to be among the living right now.

Allow me to set the scene for a second. I'll be brief: Underground, MTA travel hustling, headphones on, notebook and a pen.  The usual. The doors open, as they are prone to do, and in walks this little pettie cinnamon skin beauty(something like the picture above). My first thought was.."Wow i want to devour you", literally and figuratively. I know, ya'll are like "this nucca here". But seriously I wanted to eat her, and not on a zombie, bath salt level either.

See, I have learned in this life. That one way to appreciate a woman is to treat her like a meal. A meal in order to be enjoyed thoroughly, must be prepared with the utmost love and attention.  The fine details of the scene must be manipulated in such a way that it is made unforgettable. Oh and for the record I don' t simply mean the night of the feast. No, no I am talking long before that blissful night.  I am speaking of devouring her presence: the lilt of her voice, the sway of her hips, the heat she gives off. All of it.

Treat her like a meal, gentleman. Prepare the scene, and take care of the ingredients used to make the meal.  That way the first taste will be the sweetest pleasure

When the search begins..AKA to cuff or not to cuff?

So...summer is almost over and that means the weather will turn cold and frigid, much like that summer love's emotions after she caught you trying to holla at that other lady( or fella).  Such is life in the city or suburbs for that matter.  Honestly summer flings turning into "Damn she was fly. Let me give her a call...What!? Wrong number, ain't this bout a b***h" is going to happen.
Which is why I suggest a few rules, well more like guidelines to dating during the cold season.  My brothers please just shut it and listen. Thank you in advance.

Rule #1

Do an Autumn cleaning of your phone book.

All non essential( read- booty that you will never see again, except that awkward moment on your  local train line).
There is nothing worse than trying and failing to rekindle a dead relationship. Sorry, contrary to popular belief embers of flings that have long since past are not so simple to become roaring fires of passion. Unless it was just that amazing. Just let it go..please. Last I checked there are plenty of good, hardworking single people in the world.  And yes more than a couple are looking forward to finding someone to have a nightcap with the option to advance to cuffed status. Heed well Autumn is the season of cutting of the dead weight to make room for the new.

Rule#2

  Clearly define your intention

Look, I get it. The pimp/player life is idolized all over. T.V, rap videos, err worldstarhiphop.com(sigh..ratchetnesss) to name a few sources. But in the real world this only leads to increase chances of becoming a real life stat.(3 baby mommas and counting..and why is it burning when I pee??) So yes, clarity is key , now and forever. Trust me, when honesty is involved entire new doors are opened; some of which are well..interesting to say the least. If you refuse to be honest with a potential partner at least be honest with yourself. Ladies, sometimes head at the movies is just that. Just calling like I see it. When you are in the cuffing mode, why waste time with the flavor of the week, when the house special is always on the menu? Remember non essential action leads to moments best left to the likes of teenagers just discovering the joys of lovemaking.

Lastly Rule#3

  Learn to be selective!!

Can this potential partner satisfy most if not all the requirements necessary to make it to the spring? Or is this just a 6pm, I'm really tired of eating alone kind of thing? Not everything walking on the street is worthy of finding its way into your bedroom.  The bedchamber is sacred man.  Unless sleeping with everything that moves is your cup of tea, be a little sometimes. Real talk.

So let the cuffing begin> Peace.

My fair ladies

To the ladies, to the ladies.... Peace and blessings.  Just taking some time out to express my appreciation for all that you have given in terms of inspiring generations of Kings, and Queens, even though it seems a bit bleak at the moment.  I know sometimes it may look like we(men) do not appreciate you or respect what you mean to the world, but we do.  Well the ones who know and act  anyways,  I can't speak for the rest.  The only thing is, please take control of the image you  portray.  Falling victim to the brainwashing techniques of this current regime only undermines your allure and power to shape reality.  Your sexy, blessed with immaculte features, I get it. We all get it.  So why put it out so blatant?  Think about it: Is dressing and acting in an overly sexual light really your decision or is it a reaction to being boxed into a physiologically sexually repressive culture that uses sex a a marketing tool?.  Just saying.
